VINCE CARTER ON MARCH COVER OF S.I. FOR KIDS
All-Star Vince Carter shares his thoughts with Sports Illustrated For Kids’ readers on the best dunks of his career in our March issue.
As the winner of the NBA’s slam dunk contest in 2000, Carter names his dunk over 7’2” center Frederic Weis of France (shown in our photo gallery) at the 2000 Summer Olympics as his best ever.
“Gary Payton’s brother had taped the game, and he showed me the dunk on his camera that night,” Carter tells readers. “We watched it like 11 times in a row. I couldn’t believe it. I’d probably say it’s the best dunk of my career. It’s the most famous one.”
